Legal Question in Business Law in Oklahoma
solicitation of testimonial letters at job
I work in the loan business, HB500 is being introduced to cap small loan companys interest rate at 36%. My employer is asking its employees to solicit customers to write testimonial letters about the service they received from our company. The objective of the letters is to be forwarded to the senators from our state. Is it legal for my employer to ask this of me?

Re: solicitation of testimonial letters at job
Based on your question, the employer is having the employee ask customers statements; not requiring the employee to make a certain statement. It doesn't sound like either the employee or the customer is being compelled to say anything or not say anything.
