Legal Question in Business Law in Oklahoma
If I sued my carpet company that installed the carpet and I lose, does that mean that the warranty I had with them is void. I had a problem with my carpet and after 9 months of dealing with them I sent them a letter demanding for repair or refund and they did not do anything. I filed a small claims law suit and they won becuase they had an attorney and I didn't. So.. The CEO called me today and said that my warranty was void with them and that becuase I lost my lawsuit I could not be helped by them. He stated it is double jeporady. However I thought even if I sued them and lost they are still responsible for any other issues under the contract.

In civil cases, there is no double jeopardy. Warranty should remain. Did the court address the warranty issue?
