Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oklahoma

Hotel security

My wife and three daughters were staying at a holiday inn on Friday night and were awakened at 5 am by a noise to find a stranger in the bathroom of their hotel room, the man came out of the bathroom and saw everyone and left, my wife went to front desk to find out that the manager on duty had given the man a key to their room when he said he lost his key, they didn't ask him for any identification or anything they were not even sure if he was a guest in another room. I can't even bear to think about what could have happened to my family. When I contacted Holiday inn on Saturday they acted like it wasn't any big deal. Is there any type of legal action that I can take against them.

Re: Hotel security

This was certainly actual negligence on their part of the hotel if they provided someone access to the room right without an investigation or verification of his identity, let alone a stranger.

And, the hotel certainly should be held liable accountable for anything physical or emotional harm to your family. As such, we must agree to the seriousness of this situation. However, it would be futile to address this issue at the lower level. You may want to bring this to the attention of someone accountable at the corporate level or the CEO at corporate headquarters, particularly, if you expect a serious resolution to your issues or concerns.
