Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oklahoma

Police videotaping of witnesses

My son and I were recently questioned as witnesses regarding a local robbery. We were not suspects but my son knew the person later arrested. We came freely to the police station to meet with a detective who I later found out had videotaped the interview without letting me know. While I probably would have given permission anyway, I don't like the idea that he did so without informing me at the time. Is this legal for him to have videotaped us without consent?

Re: Police videotaping of witnesses

Yes, it is legal. In this day and age we are on video nearly each day. It is difficult to go anywhere without being on camera.

What he did lacked PR, but was perfectly legal.
