Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oklahoma
I just received a summon to serve on jury duty. I was convicted of a felony in 1987 but served no jail time. Can I still serve. This is for Oklahoma. Also what does it mean to have your civil rights restored?

Whatever occurred in your past, it is apparently something that does not affect you ability or rights to serve. If this is an issue it will be asked at the time you appear.
In most cases all the jurors are asked questions prior to being seated on the jury and they are selected based on the answers to these questions. The purpose of the questioning is to determine if you have biases or other issues that may affect your ability to make fair decisions in the case or to exclude your participation.
It is at that time, you will find out if you will be able to serve. In the meantime, you must appear as requested. I hope this helps.
