There is no such law but there is a punishment. It is also referred as a "shame sanction" a criminal sanction designed to stigmatize or disgrace a convicted offender, and often alert the public about the offenders conviction. In other words, it associates the offender with the crime he or she committed. A convicted child malester is an example. This is also referred to as a scarlet letter sentence. I hope this helps.
