On the show "Cops" , people try to express their rights by asking to have an attorney present. Their response is always , "Sorry, we dont call them onto the field.". This doesnt apply to any specific area, I have seen this many times on the show.

When a suspect who is in custody invokes her right to counsel, the police have to stop questioning her until her lawyer can be present. But that does not mean she can demand that they lawyer be brought wherever she is. The police should stop questioning her, bring her to the station, let her summon her lawyer, and then resume questioning her when he is there.
