Legal Question in Consumer Law in Oklahoma
Purchase of an automobile
I purchased an truck last week and signed all of the loan paperwork with the dealership. I thought all was said and done until I recieved a phone call and was told that the financer denied my loan(after I signed the contract from the financer stating interest rate and payment). I already have possession of the truck and now they want me to go sign a new contract with a higher interest rate for a longer term. I think that this was the dealerships mistake and they were too eager to sell the truck. What are my rights?

Re: Purchase of an automobile
This sounds like a spot delivery. You can educate yourself on the process; simply google search "spot delivery scam," and in a half hour you'll know the routine. The answer for you, whether you're stuck or not, is likely in your purchase agreement. The documents you signed are your contract and, without something like fraud or misrepresentation, you may be stuck. You may want to consider having an attorney review the agreements, and don't take any verbal promise; get it all in writing and make sure it says what you think it says, no matter how long it takes to go through it or how many questions you have to ask.
