Whether she needs a lawyer or not depends on what she wants to do. I do not know what the City of Grove or Delaware County (you didn't specify where she is going to court) does on public drunk. However, every other jurisdiction I have been in in Oklahoma usually does a fine of $100 to $200, plus court costs, on public drunk cases. Most people are willing to do that and can do that on their own. If she wants to work out a deferred sentencing agreement so she can keep the case off of her record, it would be best to have a lawyer that knows what he is doing.
