judge is a witness to the defendants charge...
my father went to court today to because he's being charged with inimidating a witness and the judge he stood before today is a witness against him... i was wondering if it common practice for a judge to see or hear a defendant he or she is a witness against... also, my mother is looking for a lawyer in this case... she has more details about the situation.

If the judge is a witness in the case, then a motion to recuse the judge needs to be filed in the case.
