limitations
can a police officer make an arrest if he has not been cleet certified? if so how long does he have to turn over charges to the district attorney?

I am not sure how a person can claim to be a police officer without having completed CLEET certification. It is my understanding that without CLEET certification, a person is not a police officer and cannot act in that capacity.
As far as turning charges over to the district attorney's office is concerned, police departments usually turn over the charging information as soon as possible, but the general criminal statute of limitations in Oklahoma is 3 years. This means the State has 3 years from the date of the offense to file charges.
