A first time offense of simple possession of a small amount of marijuana in Oklahoma is a misdemeanor.
It is a felony to transport marijuana with intent to distribute or dispense, distribute or possess with intent to distribute. If this is done within 2,000 feet of a park, school and a few other special places, it continues to be a felony but can receive a higher punishment.
