Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma
My question is a fedreal question. If you get locked up and your charged with a fedreal crime and the police drop your charges but the fed's pick it up do the fed's only have 30 days to indite you on your charges? If so when does that 30 days start? When you go to jail or from your first court date on the charges? I'm in Oklahoma so I didn't know if it changes from state to state.
Thank you,
Ashly

You can be indicted at any time until the statute of limitations has run. Different crimes have different limitations periods.
