If you are staying at a friends house and the police come with a search warrant to search for drugs and the only name on the warrant is the home owner but they found some drugs in the room I was staying in but found nothing on my person when I was searched
They charged me with possession

It depends on what other evidence there is. The law says that "mere presence" where drugs are found is not enough to prove possession. So I would need to know more facts. The best advice I could give you right now is to find a competent criminal defense attorney that knows the law and is ready to fight for you.
