Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma
transporting a fire arm
My husband was traveling out of state and was stopped in Oklahoma City, Ok for a traffic violation he was taken into custody when he admitted to having a firearm with him, they have arrested him for transporting a firearm across state lines. What are his rights and what can he be charged with and can jail time be given for such an offense?

That sounds like a crock to me, but to investigate further, where was the gun, what kind was it, and was it loaded? These questions will determine if there is a problem or not.
Also, of major importance is if he has a felony record!
