Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma
Unauthorized Transactions w/ Bank Card
Someone used my bank card number to pay elec. bills. It was unauthorized. They charged 205.95. They live in Oklahoma and I live in Tenn. They got my number from register where they work and I had made a purchase. It is also costing my and my husband loss of work (3 days). In all the theft and loss of work has so far cost me $1445.95. Can I sue them for the loss of work also and if so do I have to go to Oklahoma to do it since thats where they live and committed the theft?

Re: Unauthorized Transactions w/ Bank Card
Because nothing the other person did was done in Tennessee, you would need to go to Oklahoma to file suit. Contact an attorney in the city where the person lives and discuss your options. One option you should consider is criminal prosecution, and ask the court ot order the person to pay restitution to you as a condition of probation.
