warrant

I just found out I have a warrant dated back to 5/2000 for a check I believe, it is a 500.00 surety bond and I dont know what that means

This means that a warrant is out for your arrest and the bond is $500. You can post the $500 yourself, which is the best was to do it because you get all the money back when the case is over.

Or you can pay a fee to a bondsman and the bondsman can post a surety bond for you. Most bondsmen that I know charge a minimum of $300. So again, you would be better to post the bond yourself.

If this is Tulsa County there are also other things your attorney can do for you to keep you from having to post a bond at all.
