What is a one year review for an inmate at a correctional facility? How do you request a one year review?

A one year review is asking the sentencing judge to review the sentence and modify it--usually to probation. You request one by preparing and filing the correct documents with the court, getting the judge to sign an order setting hearing, and getting the judge sign the documents to order DOC to prepare a report.
