My Mom passed away and I keep getting her bills I didn't sign anything saying that I would be responsible for her bills and there was no estate or a will am I still responsible for her debts

If your mother's estate has any assets such as money in her checking account or a house, then you need to start a probate to pay her bills. If she had nothing left after her last social security check, then you need to notify each creditor of the followingL 1) date of death; 2) what could be paid from her account, if any. 3) or, no monies are left to pay with.
