advertising a divorce in the newspaper

I have been told that I can place an ad in local newspapers to get my divorce from my spouse that I can not find. How do I do this?

Contact the court clerk in your county. Explain to them that you want to attempt service on your spouse by publication. You will have to file an affidavit that you attempted service and could not find him to serve him. You will have to pay approximately $50.00-$120.00 for publication.
