I lost my job (5) weeks ago, and I pay $500.00 per mo. to my ex-wife. How can I get this reduced or postponed till I get back working.

I don't think that you are paying alimony, you may be paying spousal support. Any how, this would constitute a change in circumstances that would entitle you to a review by the court. You have to petition for it.
