Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma
Annulment
My son is 36 and married a girl 31 on June 23 in Arkansas. They live in Oklahoma and she told him she was about a month pregnant before they got married. Two days ago she was going out with some girls where she works supposedly. My son talked to one lady and she had no idea what he was talking about. He read a text on her cell and his wife was going to dinner in another town with a man she works with. He confronted her and she told him the child was not his and the father was another guy she had sex with before him. Question? Can he seek an annulment due to the time of marriage (1month) or does he need to get a divorce? One female attorney told him divorce but I have been a police officer for 25 years and have heard an annulment can me done if under 6 months. Your help will be appreciated. Thank You Mr. Morton

Re: Annulment
Most likely, he will need to file a divorce. If the marriage was based on learning of the pregnancy and he was led to believe the child was his, then he may be able to file for an annulment based on fraud.
