Child from an affair

my husband had an affair, and a baby is now on the way. The woman does not want the baby, and my husband and I do. I know that he made a mistake and I have forgiven him for it. What do I need to do to adpot the child? the mother wants to sign her rights over to me as soon as the child is born.
