Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

child care judgements

In the last modification my ex was ordered to pay 73% of the fixed child care costs that I pay each month. I mailed him documentation but it was returned. Even though the enforcement division ordered that percentage, they are telling me I have to file a small claim and get a judgement before they will enforce. I've read the papers and spoke with numerous people and have never been told that. If I had the money to take him to court, I would not need his help with the daycare. If there is a fixed percentage on a fixed monthly child care amount, why can the office who ordered it not enforce it? All the proof and orders are there but it seems there's always another obstacle for me to go through and it's unfair.

Re: child care judgements

Life is not fair. Legal procedure normally requires a court action to enforce a court order. That's what you have to do in order to get what you want. Good Luck.
