Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

child custody

My husband has custody of his 6 year daughter, his exwife has mental problems but has had no relapses and been on medication for at least 3yrs, husband's mother cared for child in her home when child was 18 months old due to exwife's mental illness. Husband and child lived with mother for 1 yr before we married, child lived with husband and mother visited frequently 1 yr before he moved in with mother. Exwife is demanding more visitation in the Summer, child currently lives with grandmother (husband's mother) and has since we married 1 1/2 months ago. Child has spent a total of 5 nights with her father and I since we married, father has legal custody of child, not the mother or grandmother. My question, if child's mother chose to seek custody, how good are her chances of getting it since the father is not caring for his daughter in his home?

Re: child custody

Nobody can give you an accurate prediction of what a court will do. If the mother's condition is well controlled with medication, she would have a reasonable chance of obtaining custody if she sought it.
