Child Custody or Paternity

The mother is in OK the father is in TX. The mother is currently using drugs, just found she is pregnant. Father quit using drugs. Would the father have a chance to get custody? Can he demand a paternity test before child is born? Can she be forced to terminate rights?

If she is using drugs while pregnant, she can be charged with child endangerment and the child would likely be removed from her possession. Termination of parental rights is possible, but not necessarily. The testing cannot be done until the child is born. Father's custody of the child is possible but a long shot. This could be done, but will require the services of a very, good family law attorney.
