Child Support

Minor child, 17 lives in Arkansas. Father lives in Oklahoma, divorce was in Oklahoma. Minor child has moved in with boyfriend, with whom she is having a child, in less than a month. Is father required to continue payment of child support to natural mother, or can he start making payments to the minor child?

Re: Child Support

Father should not send his child support payments to anyone except natural mother until the Court orders otherwise. Father should immediately file a motion to modify the decree seeking Court authorization to send his child support payments to the minor child. Given these facts and no others, the Court should make the requested modification.
