Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Child support

My parental rights were terminated a few years ago. I received a certified letter in Feb. 07 ordering me to come to court on Apr. 19, 2007. The state wants me to pay child support for my son, who resides with his paternal grandmother. Is this legal? I was told that It is my responsibility to pay this support because my son is not adopted. I do feel it may be a moral responsibility, but not a legal one.

Re: Child support

Your payment of child support is a legal obligation that would only terminate if the child was adopted.
