Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

children

Hello I am a single mother, my son is five, I have custody and my ex has standard visitation. Our paper work states that i can not live with another person that I am romantically involved with while the minor child is present. However, my ex doesn't care if I do so, but my mother does. Is there anything she can do to stop me?

She may not have standing or a strong enough argument to win a petition for a modification of custody, but she could probably cause you grief by trying. Also, if your ex has a change of heart and wants to cause you an issue, he'll have a stronger case based on the decree you agreed to, and what he will claim is in the best interest of the child.
