my children's mother

Me and my Children's mother spilt up about 2 years ago and she got custody. And one day she dropped them off at daycare with out signing them in and just left them there and didn't come and pick them up. The day care called me and I went and picked them up. that was 15months ago. And I still have them. I am still paying child support. I was wondering how do I go about getting her to pay child support and how long do you have to file for abandonment? And how do I file for abandonment.

You will need to file a Motion To Modify and obtain an Order Modifying the previous custody and child support order. Until you do so, you will continue to be responsible for the payment of child support, and will not be able to collect child support, child care, health insurance or uninsured medical expenses from the mother.
