Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Does the custodial parent have the right to know where her child is while she is visiting the noncustodial parent? He leaves her with various people while he works and refuses to tell me who she is with. I got a cell phone for my child and he takes it from her while he has visitation. What can i do?

Yes, custodial parents you do have the right; and responsibility to know where their child(ren) is at all times. And, the non-custodial parent should provide this information for the health, safety and welfare of the child.

These decisions are important for the sake of the child due to circumstances that may be out of his/her control or to assure the custodial parent is immediately notified if there is an emergency.

If do not know the whereabouts of your child during this visitation, which is apparently not under the supervision of the non-custodial parent, you may want to revisit your court ordered visitation and take additional steps to protect the welfare and safety of the child.
