Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma
I am the custodial parent of my children from my divorce. I allowed my daughters to go to school with their father the past two years without going to court just because I wanted them to have the relationship with their father. Now is the time for them to come back home and he is trying to stop me. They are already here for the summer and he thinks they are going back in August. Do I need to file any further legal papers for them to stay or do I have the legal rights to keep them since this was already decided in our divorce decree?

Your conduct may have given your ex sufficient grounds to seek a modification of the current order. However, until the court modifies its order it remains in effect, regardless of the conduct of the parties.
