Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma
Custodial Parent's Rights
I'm a custodial parent of an eleven year old daughter. My ex-husband has visitation with her every other weekend and designated holidays. He is currently behind in child support payments by $4000. I have reason to believe he is involved with illicit drugs and feel my daughter may be in danger during the weekend visitations. What is my best course of action to make sure my daughter is no longer placed in danger ?

If you feel that your daughter is in danger you have a duty to protect her. I would suggest having the court order your ex husband take a drug test. With a provision in the order that should the test come back positive that he would be allowed only supervised visitation.
