Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

divorce or anulment

I have a boy friend that keeps saying he was anuled of his marriage to his first wife. I can't seem to understand why he gets angry when I say he was divorced. I know that anulment has to do with the catholic faith, but does not divorce need to be considered in order to comply with the laws of the state of Texas?

A marriage is annulled in Oklahoma under very few circumstances, e.g. fraud, incapacity to marry, etc. If your boyfriend was not divorced, or legally the marriage was annulled, then he is still married.
