Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

divorce decree

In my decree, I am responsible for half of the mortgage of the marital residence until it sells. To do this, I cannot afford a suitable place to hold my visitations with my daughter. What would happen if I did not make the mortgage payment and used the money to obtain a suitable residence for myself to honor my weekend/overnight visitations with my daughter?

Re: divorce decree

Failing to folow the Court's order in a Decree could be grounds for contempt. I would carefully think it through before making that decision. Good Luck -Bob-
