I am wanting to get a divorce, i cheated and now my husband says he will take my kids. He has been abusive in the past and has been clinical depressed and perscribed medication. I have been a great mom and he says cheating will lead to me loosing my children if i divorce him. Is this true can i loose my children because of me being unhappy in this marriage and cheating?

Having an affair on your spouse is not a basis for the court to award custody of minor children to the other spouse. In Oklahoma, as most other jurisdictions, the court must determine what is in the best interests of the minor child(ren) in awarding sole or joint custody. If your affair caused you to neglect caregiving to your children, then you may have some problems.
