I am divorced and would like to change my last name back to my maiden name. Do I have to go through the courts to do so?

Yes. You could have had your name changed at the time of your divorce. (A name change can be included in the Decree.) Since your Decree has already been entered, you will need to file a petition for name change with the District Court.
