Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Divorce/Independent Living/Custody

My boyfriend's (who is 16 years old) parents have recently divorced and his mom won full custody of him and his brother. 2 days ago she threatened him many times that if he sees his dad, she will throw him out of the house and hurt anyone my boyfriend knows, even my family. Then after that argument he had with his mom, he left the house and called his dad. His dad is allowing him to move with him. As i have been told by my boyfriend he can't move in with his dad because his mom has full custody. Is this true? And is there any way he can live with his dad? What are the options for him that don't involve living with his mom?

Re: Divorce/Independent Living/Custody

Since your boyfriend is sixteen, he has a lot of say in where he lives as long as the father is fit to take care of him. I suggest that the father file a Motion to Modify Decree of Dissolution of Marriage and maybe the parents can agree on a change of custody.
