Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

My ex-husband is constantly late (usually two weeks) on his alimony payments and has checks that have bounced. He ignores my more than civil requests and responds that he's "just been tied up" or "on vacation". What are my options in this matter?

If your ex is in violation of the court's orders on payment of alimony (including timeliness), you can have him cited for contempt. If his late payments are "willful", then the court can punish him by fine and/or imprisonement. You will want to document his excuses to prove the willfulness of his late payments, and of course provide proof of the "bounced" checks.
