Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma
Should I file for a divorce before my wife does
My wife has had several affairs. Both she as well as the individuals involved have admitted this to me. Now my wife is saying that she is going to file for a divorce from me, only she is going to file for a no-fault divorce. I had planned to wait until she filed and then contest it, but would it hurt my case to wait? If so should I just go ahead and file on the grounds of adultery?

If you have credible proof of a fault ground such as adultery, and you plan to contest her filing anyway, and, particularly, if there are substantial issues to be litigated such as division of marital property, custody of children, spousal and/or child support, proof of a fault ground against your spouse could, possibly give you extra leverage when it comes to deciding these kinds of issues.
