Filing for Retirement Benefits as Prescribe in Divorce Decree

Divorced in Oklahoma City, OK; prescribed in my divorce decree, I am entitled to 50% of my spouse retirement pension. Spouse retired and relocated to another state(Alabama). What document do I file with her employer to obtain the retirement benefits as prescribed in the divorce decree? What are the precedurces to inquire about obtaining the benefits?

This is what you should do. Go back to the lawguru site and post this question to the Alabama attorneys. Give them this same question you posted here. More than likely what they will tell you to do is to "domesticate" the judgment in Alabama. You should do it in her state because the courts of that state have personal jurisdiction over her and if she fails to pay they can use the power of the court to force her to pay. You could also attach her wages, etc in Alabama.
