Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma
Going for full custody
We are tired of paying child support when we have the child the same amount of time or more than the mother does. The mother has a past. Do you think we should try to get custody or just let it go?

I don't know what you should do; I do know, based on what you describe, you may consider filing a Motion to Modify Child Custody and Child Support. There are more variables than just how much time the child spends with each parent, including financial ability to pay, need, parental fitness, and what is in the best interest of the child. If you think you have a basis on which to modify the custody, I suggest considering an attorney to help you assess the situation and legally work thorugh it.
