Re: grand parent rights in child custody

As a general rule grandparents rights are very limited in Oklahoma and every state based upon U.S. Supreme Court decisions. However, if the parents of the grand children are unfit and the grandchildren's health and or safety is at risk those parents should be reported to the Department of Human Services. This is not to say that your hands are tied in the matter but it is a deep legal issue and you should consult an attorney.
