Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

hello

the grandma has guardianship of my little girl and now she is trying to get guardianship of my little boy because the father got remarried and the woman he remarried won't let no one see my son. She said that if I sign a consent papaer then I can see the kids so that way the step mom can't run off because the father is sex offender and anything could happen what should I do?

Re: hello

You should be careful signing any consent papers, or anything you don't fully understand; especially regarding custody or parental rights. As the kids mother you have rights that a court will not easily take away, and you don't have to easily give away. As important as this matter is, you may want to hire an attorney to review anything you're asked to sign.

The sex offender status of the father makes the situation potentially more critical and potentially more complicated. Again, you may want to get an attorney involved to protect your rights and your kids best interests.
