Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Grandparents visitation rights

My stepdaughter is about to go through a divorce, although either party has not spoken to a lawyer my husband and I are wanting to go to Tulsa and pick up our grandson for a visit with us here in Texas, the child is currently living with his mom, his Dad also lives in Tulsa and also refusing to help out financialy in any way. They neither one have the money to get the ball rolling. Does our daughter have the right to give the ok for us take the child out of state without asking the father? Could you please let me know what the child support laws are in Oklahoma, this father seems to think, he will not have to pay anything?

I am only licensed to practice law in Texas. You need to talk to an OK lawyer to learn the laws of that state.

If everyone lives in OK, that is where the divorce needs to be filed.

It sounds like you need a consultation with a OK attorney to determine the actual laws of that state. Many people do not think they are going to pay ordered to pay child support. Usually they are wrong.

Good luck!
