Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

My husband is currently in the Army and recently we amended his divorce decree to allow me ( a step mom) to the girls to take over his rights if/when deployed. Am I restricted to a certain mile limit from our house that I cannot take the girls out of as a step-parent? For example, I live in OK, and my parents live in Dallas, TX (180 miles). Legally, am I restricted only to the state of OK for visitation, esp during the summer?

There is currently no Oklahoma statute that would restrict this. However, your husband's decree or the order modifying the decree may have addressed this issue. Therefor, you should carefully review both of these court orders, and any others that may have been entered, to determine if any restrictions are in place. In any event, it would be wise and courteous to keep the mother informed of any out of state travel plans with the children.
