Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma
My husband and I are going through our divorce by using a mediator. We've been married 20+ years. IN that time he's developed a lucrative career in the IT field, (nearly $100,000.00 per year) while I stayed home (at his request) to raise and home school our four sons.
My question is: Am I entitled to receive some of his pension, 401K, and/or social security benefits?
Thank you,
Ginny

Yes. All assets acquired during the marriage (with only a few exceptins) are considered marital property and subject to division by the court. In other words, you are entitled half of his pension and 401(k). It sounds like you also may have a good claim for support alimony. I strongly encourage you to seek the advice of an attorney.
