Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Information needed after marriage

I got married for the 1st time on Jan 2003. I have two children and would like for my husband to adopt them. I never married my children's father nor did he ever sign their birth certificates. I have never recieved child support or any other money from him. I have not seen or had contact with him since 1991. What steps do I need to take to have my husband become my children's legal guardian or have legal custody?

You need to do the entire thing just as if Dad was there. You will need to publish a warning order and give Dad an opportunity to appear and object. If you know who Dad is, you have to give him actual notice.

Bottom line ... Talk to an Attorney.
