Inheritance

My wife and I have been married for a little over four years. She is about to come into a large inheritance in the next few months. Our marriage hasn't been the greatest of late. I have supported her the past few years, now she has started to get the big head. She is telling me her family said if we get a divorce I would't get any of the money because it is an inheritance.Is this true.
