Hi my question is my you write a judge a letter or is this breaking the law??

I imagine that each judge will handle the matter different from another. A judge's clerk will probably be the one to open a letter and also probably has directions as to what he/she should do with the letter depending upon whether it is treated as an attempt to offer evidence in a pending case in which event he might return it or if treated as a pleading it would be filed in the official file. A judge may advise the attorney of the parties of the letter's receipt or send a copy. It really depends on a number of factors including purpose of the letter and whether it is being submitted by a party to the case, etc.
